Callen was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes on July 14, 2008 when he was just 20 months old.  We consider ourselves very lucky, as he was diagnosed early through a local study that screens children at birth and periodically checks for the antibodies, the first sign of the disease’s onset.  Since then, our family has been committed to raising money to find a cure.  Stay tuned to this site for updates on how to get involved through advocacy, fundraising and community awareness.
